LIDÈ Haiti Impact Report 2024-25

LIDÈ Haiti

2024-25 Impact Report
Our Vision: A Haiti where every girl can play, create, learn, and lead through arts-based learning paired with comprehensive health, nutrition, and well-being support systems.

Message from Our Executive Director

This past year marked a pivotal moment in LIDÈ Haiti's journey. Following the passing of our beloved longtime Executive Director, our Board of Directors and senior team came together in Montreal to launch a comprehensive strategic planning and leadership succession process.

Over fourteen transformative months, our Board, our incredible staff (95% women living in Haiti), and our Interim Executive Director and now Board Chair Sally Bentley collaborated to craft a shared vision of a Haiti where every girl can play, create, learn, and lead. We refined and strengthened our mission, returning to our roots with a scalable model that combines arts-based learning with comprehensive health, nutrition, and well-being support systems.

I am honored to have joined this remarkable organization in June 2025, and I'm inspired every day by the resilience and potential of the girls we serve. Together, we are not just changing individual lives—we are transforming communities and building a brighter future for Haiti.

Improving Well-Being Through Arts-Based Experiences

In nurturing environments in their communities, where fewer than 2% of girls complete secondary school and 43% are illiterate, LIDÈ Haiti is creating pathways to hope and opportunity through education.

— Marie-Lourdes, age 16
"Lidè helped me see that my future does not have to look like my past. I am learning, creating, and dreaming bigger than before."
— Kenide, student in Gros-Morne
"Through writing poems and painting, I learned I have something important to say. Lidè gave me the tools to say it."
— Dalinda, age 14

Our Holistic Approach

We serve girls aged 11,22 in the geographically remote regions of Gonaïves (Artibonite) and Coteaux (South) through multi, year, small, group arts, centred learning experiences in literacy and financial literacy. Our comprehensive model removes barriers through on,staff nurses, mobile clinic partnerships, psychosocial care, and daily meals. Graduates receive vocational and university scholarships, opening pathways to economic mobility while we engage with families and schools to sustain and grow impact.

With Your Partnership

Together, we can scale up our mission to accompany girls and young women in underserved communities as they improve their learning, health, and well-being through art-centered educational programs that support growth and critical thinking in safe and nurturing environments.
